Polyvios Hadjiyiangou

Polyvios Hadjiyiangou has over 16 years of experience across European institutions, including the European Parliament, the European Commission, and Joint Undertakings. He currently serves as the Head of Operations at the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).
His expertise spans the design and implementation of EU funding programmes for research, innovation and deployment, with a particular focus on strategic planning, programme and grant management, policy development, and impact analysis. Throughout his career, he has overseen the full lifecycle of calls for proposals and procurement procedures, from strategic planning and launch through evaluation, grant preparation, implementation, monitoring, and reporting.
Polyvios has extensive experience in managing complex EU-funded programmes and fostering collaboration between public institutions, industry, academia, and the wider research and innovation ecosystem. He has worked across diverse sectors, including cybersecurity, medicines and health, circular bio-based industries, and aviation, engaging with research organisations, universities, large industry, SMEs, start-ups, public authorities, civil society organisations, and international partners. Through these collaborations, he has contributed to strengthening European innovation ecosystems and accelerating the uptake and impact of EU-funded research and deployment initiatives.
