Iris Filzwieser

In June 2020, Iris Filzwieser became the first woman to take over the presidency of Austrian Cooperative Research (ACR). Filzwieser holds a doctorate in metallurgy and is an entrepreneur. During her studies at the Montanuniversität Leoben, she specialised in non-ferrous metallurgy. In 2005, she founded METTOP GmbH, an engineering company specialising in the optimisation and development of technologies in the field of metallurgical processes. She is also an authorised signatory at PolyMet Solutions GmbH and co-founder and partner at UrbanGold GmbH.
