Eleni Diamanti

CNRS

Eleni Diamanti, born in Greece, studied at the National Technical University of Athens and at Stanford University. After graduating, she returned to Europe, where she joined Institut d'Optique and was appointed to the faculty at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in 2009. In 2018 Diamanti was awarded a ERC Starting Grant. Her research considers experimental quantum cryptography and the development of photonics sources for quantum networks. Diamanti was made Director of the Paris Center for Quantum Computing, a consortium for the future application of quantum technologies – notably including the CNRS, Inria, and Paris Cité, PSL, and Sorbonne Universities. In this capacity she takes part in the European Union Quantum Flagship. She was awarded a Prime d'Excellence Scientifique (2023) and the Innovation Medal (2024) by CNRS.
